New Huanggang Port is the largest and only all-weather land port in China, and will be built into a modern national first-class port that radiates the Greater Bay Area and faces the world, integrating entry and exit ports, three-dimensional comprehensive transportation hubs, and urban vitality public spaces. The intention is to serve as the cornerstone of Shenzhen and Hong Kong cooperation, the link between Shenzhen and Hong Kong, and to showcase the new style of Shenzhen's green ecology, reflecting the traditional Chinese pattern of "heaven and earth are round". As a major engineering project in Shenzhen to implement the "dual zone driven" strategy and promote the construction of the Shenzhen-Hong Kong Science and Technology Innovation Cooperation Zone, the New Huanggang Port is located at the core of the "one heart, two wings" planning layout of the Hetao Shenzhen-Hong Kong Science and Technology Innovation Cooperation Zone. After the completion of the New Huanggang Port, it will become an important hub connecting the Guangzhou-Shenzhen-Hong Kong Science and Technology Innovation Corridor, playing a core engine role in the construction and development of the Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Greater Bay Area.
